All the girls are highly classically trained with countless awards and accolades between them. (Courier Mail) Workshops One Day Acrylic Workshop with Kelli McGregor Saturday 19th May Workshop Topic: Faces & Figures Working from original painting titled ‘Best Friends’ starting with some exercises on proportion. Techniques used include: blending and glazing in acrylic. Time: 9.30am – 3.30pm Cost: $50.00 Painting with Colour, Colour, Colour! June 23rd & 24th Two intensive days of exploring colour to its full potential with international artist, Adrienne Crouch. All levels of painting experience and skill welcome. Using a preferred painting medium (watercolour, oils or acrylic) explore the principles of colour, understand tonal values and colour harmony and experiment with colour mixing. Practical demonstrations will be given in the art of paint application and mixing and using colour to create the illusion of space and distance. Techniques for improving paintings and problem solving will also be discussed. Time: 9.30am – 3.30pm Cost: $135.00 Music in the Courtyard! Music in the Courtyard takes place between 12 noon and 1pm – there is no cover charge and the live music includes jazz, harp, classical guitar, wind instruments, ballads and folk singing. The Courtyard is more beautiful than ever - the large scarlet pink flowers of the Fraser Island Vine are in bloom and also the long trailing vines of the Ladies Slipper, which resembles bunches of yellow and orange orchids. They are spectacular, and with the sound of falling water from the fountain, they add to a very particular relaxing ambience. Customers don't want to leave this oasis in the middle of Maryborough!
